When a band makes their debut with a huge splash, it often raises the bar of expectation to unreachable levels. Well Brooklyn act Me Not You are blasting through any concerns we had of not matching up with second single 'Relief'. Aptly named, it follows on from 'Bulletproof' which had everyone from Zane Lowe to us raving about the sharp rifts and rocky treatment. 'Relief' follows through on the initial promises with its jagged edges, husky vocals and the darkly swirling descent into noise. Comparably to the UK's Black Honey, who themselves made a quick success up the ranks of the blogosphere, they are mixing pop hooks into their heaviness. For now, they are living up to the hype with no disappointment. - SJ
